But I don't tend to worry about the things that other people say...*

Camping was... well, it sucked. Big time. The boys had fun though, and that's all that mattered. They rode the peddle boats, swam, roasted marshmallows and only two of them committed any criminal activity, so that's good. (Smashed a watermelon that someone left in the creek to chill. They were made to go apologize and replace the watermelon.)
______________

We have been pretty busy since we got home. I have imposed a two day "grounding" on all of us so we can stay home and get ready to leave again. lol We are leaving on the 10th for Ohio and once we are there we will not have a chance to sit down, so I am making us do it now. On the 10th my mom is going to drive up here and surprise the boys. We will take her to Marty's restaurant for lunch and then head to Ohio. On the 11th and 12th I get to run around like an idiot and try to find the boys something to wear to the wedding that they won't melt in and pay bills. Have to pick up Marty's tux, too.

The 13th is the rehearsal and dinner.

The wedding is the 14th. My mom took off the 13th-18th so she can watch the boys for the rehearsal and take them home if we want to stay at the reception later than they need to be out. So I have a feeling we will stay later than they need to be out.

The 15th is my family reunion. It is at a tiny church in Amish country. The boys go out and play soccer in the field then tease the cows. (Ethan is convinced he fools them when he says "moo.") We will stop and get some goodies on the way home and maybe stop at the cemetery where my dad is buried. I haven't been there in 14 years, so maybe not. We will probably go into Millersburg which is where my mom is from. We will probably eat dinner at Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen in Mount Hope, which is where my grandpa is from. (His dad owned a general store in Mt. Hope, which later became Lehman's Hardware.) The boys like to eat there because my grandma and grandpa's last name is Yoder. But then, so are most of the people who live in the area.

Anyway.

The 16th we are going to Geauga Lake with my SIL, Sydney and my mom. Geauga Lake is like Six Flags... but not. Not as good, but just as much fun.

The 17th and 18th my mom and I might drive to South Carolina. (With the boys, of course.)

The 19th I will collapse into a crying, exhausted ball of emotions. After a short hospitalzation, I will be good as new.

Went to Greektown the other night with a few friends from my homeschool group. Had a blast. Ate way too much, but had a blast. We went to Astoria bakery which has to be one of the best in the area. Bought four pieces of Baklava and some chocolate covered pretzels for the boys. We went to New Hellas and ate way too much Greek food, then back to Astoria for dessert.

After we stuffed our selves silly we went to the Greektown Casino. All of us won, except Colleen. I spent $10 and won $55, Sandy won $75 and Dana spent $1 and won $10. (I know... we are all big spenders.) Cindy spent $1 and won nothing, so maybe Colleen should feel so bad? wink

Colleen and I decided we are going to get together once a week and do Science, Geography, Latin, Art and Spanish. (I am going to teach the kids Spanish before German. I think there will be more of an opportunity to use it.) I am going to send a few days planning 6 weeks of Science and see how it goes. There is a huge age range (3 years old to 10th grade) so we will see. Hopefully it will work out. We are only going to do the experiments, movies and field trips on Friday, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I got BCM the other day. The cover has seen better days but the pages are fine. The first person I tried to buy it off of had the nerve to email me and ask me to leave good feedback. Whatever.

I got an email from ecampus.com saying they are canceling the order because they can't get it in. That's fine, but why would they list it if they can't get it? I called Addison-Wesley and they have no clue where I can get it. If the publisher doesn't know, I think I am pretty much screwed. Oh well. I will order the 6th edition and just see if it fits.

I also called Canon Press and found out that the Latin Primer I have doesn't match the videos I have, so I have to order the new books and try to sell my old ones. I swear can anything else go wrong?? Oh yeah... the library decided I had too many holds waiting for me so instead of waiting the 7 days they usually do before sending them back they waited three.
